what we’re building
why it matters
We believe Jesus is still building His church, not as a building or a program, but as a people shaped by His grace, His truth, and His mission.
The Table is a new church in Lexington built around a simple, but powerful vision: inviting others into a vibrant life formed around Jesus Christ. We long to be a church marked by open tables, honest conversations, deep discipleship, and joyful generosity. A church where people are known, loved, and formed into the likeness of Jesus in everyday life.
But this is not just about starting a new church. It’s about being part of what God is already doing.
We believe Lexington is a strategic city, and Appalachia is a region full of beauty, complexity, and deep spiritual need. We believe God has not forgotten these places, and we want to be one small part of His ongoing work of renewal. Our hope is to see people come alive to the grace of Jesus, to see communities strengthened, and to see churches planted that carry the gospel into cities, towns, and places that often go unseen.
This is not something we can build on our own. It will take a community of people who are willing to pray, to serve, to invite, and to give themselves to something bigger than themselves.
That’s what the Launch Team is all about.
Our city
Lexington is a unique and meaningful place.
It is a city where people from all over Kentucky, and all over the world, come together to study, work, build families, and find community. It is full of life, opportunity, and influence, but like any city, it is also full of people searching for purpose, belonging, and hope.
We believe God has intentionally placed His people throughout this city.
Not just in church buildings, but in neighborhoods, coffee shops, workplaces, classrooms, and ball fields. We believe the mission of Jesus is lived out in everyday life, in conversations, relationships, and small moments of faithfulness.
Our desire is to be a church that loves Lexington well.
Not just by gathering on Sundays, but by living with open hands and open lives throughout the week. We want to see people encounter Jesus not only in a service, but in friendships, homes, and ordinary rhythms of life.
The city is not just where we are.
It is part of who we are called to love.
The spiritual opportunity
We believe this moment matters.
Not just because a new church is being started, but because every step of faith creates an opportunity for people to encounter Jesus in a real and life-changing way.
There are people in Lexington right now who are searching. Some are asking hard questions. Some have been hurt by the church. Some have never truly heard the message of Jesus. And many are quietly longing for something more. More purpose, more connection, more hope.
We believe the church is meant to meet people in that space.
Not with perfection, but with grace. Not with performance, but with presence. Not with easy answers, but with the truth and love of Christ lived out in community.
Being part of a Launch Team means stepping into that opportunity.
It means praying for people you haven’t met yet. It means serving in ways that may not always be seen. It means inviting others into something that could genuinely change their lives.
We don’t believe we are the answer.
But we do believe Jesus is.
And we believe He invites us to take part in His work right here, right now.
our mission
To carry the story of Jesus
from the cities
to the mountains
to the ends of the earth
what is a launch team?
Early Builders
The Launch Team is made up of people who step in at the very beginning. These are the early builders, the ones who help shape the culture, the rhythms, and the foundation of the church from day one.
Core community
Before there are large gatherings, there is a core community. The Launch Team becomes that community, a group of people growing together in faith, forming real relationships, and building something meaningful side by side.
people who serve, invite, and pray
Launch Team members serve in real, tangible ways. They help create welcoming environments, build relationships, and invite others into the life of the church. Just as importantly, they pray. They pray for the city, for the church, and for the people God will bring.
what will you experience?
deep community
You won’t just attend something, you’ll belong to something. The Launch Team is where relationships are built, where people are known, and where community takes root in a real and meaningful way.
Spiritual Growth
This season will stretch your faith. Through serving, community, and intentional discipleship, you’ll have the opportunity to grow in your relationship with Jesus in ways that are both practical and lasting.
meaningful vision
You’ll be part of something bigger than yourself. Everything we do is connected to a clear mission to see people encounter Jesus and to see His church take root in this city and beyond.
Launch timeline
-
This season was focused on preparation and training. Andrew completed the Church Planting Residency at Grace Church, a program designed to equip leaders to start new churches.
Through hands-on experience, coaching, and community, this year provided clarity, direction, and a strong foundation as we stepped into the work of planting The Table. We are deeply grateful for the people and the church that helped prepare us for what lies ahead.
-
This season has been about prayer, discernment, and building foundations.
We have been gathering leaders, forming relationships, and seeking God’s guidance for how The Table will take shape. During this time, we are developing the rhythms, structures, and culture that will define our church in the years to come.
Our focus is simple: to be faithful in what God has placed in front of us and to build a strong, healthy foundation for what He is creating.
-
As we move toward launch, our Launch Team will begin meeting regularly to grow in community, discipleship, and outreach.
This season will include training, gatherings, and opportunities to serve together as we prepare to open our doors. Expect real relationships, meaningful moments, and yes, plenty of shared meals along the way.
-
This is the day we have been praying toward.
What has been built quietly over time becomes visible as The Table opens for the first time. It is both a starting line and a celebration of what God has already done.
Come expecting:
• Joy and celebration
• Honest stories and real community
• The beginning of something new
• Warm hospitality and great coffee
Bring your friends, your questions, and your story. We can’t wait to meet you.

church commitment
We ask that Launch Team members be meaningfully connected to the life of the church, attending gatherings, investing in relationships, and helping build a healthy church culture from the beginning.

This season will require time and consistency. Launch Team members will gather regularly, serve in meaningful ways, and be part of key moments leading up to our launch in January 2027.
